Join MHPS' Commons Council
Commons Council (CC) serves as the programming body for the MHPS community, organizing MHPS' participation in Homecoming events and Commons Cup competitions as well as planning events for our Commons, such as "Halloweek," "Holiday & Hang," and "Grill & Chill." Additionally, Commons Council works to serve residents by advocating on behalf of our Commons. Joining Commons Council is an excellent opportunity to get involved and the membership provides you with leadership experience as you work alongside other leaders and friends in planning programs and events and in advocating for our Commons' needs. If you're interested in getting involved, contact the advisor for MHPS' Commons Council, Brittany Wright.
Commons Council Meetings
Meetings are held once a week in Shuttles' third floor classroom. We meet most Sunday nights (time to be determined), unless otherwise scheduled. One meeting every month is open to ALL MHPS residents, should they want to get informed or advocate something for our Commons.
Lock-outs and Incidents in MHPS
MHPS RAs serve "On-Call" duty from 8 pm to 8 am nightly and can be reached for emergencies or assistance at 214-768-4869 during the "On-Call" hours. For lock-outs during the day, we encourage you to utilize the Area Desk located in Virginia Snider Commons between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm. For other serious emergencies, call the SMU Police Department at 214-768-3388.
